SaltShock®
is a specially formulated compound
designed to enhance salt water pools
for a safe and healthy swimming
environment. SaltShock®
is a dual action shock that enhances
the efficiency of the salt generator
while saving energy and extending
equipment life. SaltShock® is
designed to be used in pools with
gunite/plaster surfaces and
recommended not to be broadcast into
vinyl liner or fiberglass pools. Use
concentrated sodium hypochlorite
(liquid shock) for
applications on these types
of surfaces. Preferably, Salt Shock
should be used with inline chlorine
generators as not to utilize excess
electricity or damage the cell
plates.
For
increased chlorine output, fill the
salt bowl assembly with salt and
sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of Salt
Shock over the salt. Ensure that the
bowl and the salt are both dry and
void of water prior to adding the
Salt Shock over the salt. Close the
lid to the salt bowl assembly and
place the SolarChlor unit into the
pool.
